Lauren Thompson

Lauren is a postpartum doula and mother living in Crownsville with her husband and 3 children. She came to this work after a difficult postpartum period with her first born where she experienced depression, anxiety and lactation issues. She realized the healthcare gaps and isolation she felt were a reality for many, and has wanted to change the way our culture values the postpartum period here in the states. In addition to working as a doula, Lauren also co-chairs Postpartum Support Interntional’s Maryland chapter where she works to expand mental health resources for families. When she’s not doula-ing, Lauren loves being outdoors with her family, reading, and singing in the car with the windows down!
